Voter Checklist

General Election — Tuesday, November 3, 2026
  1. 1
    Check Your Registration
Confirm your registration and current address at GoVoteColorado.gov. Colorado voters who register at least 8 days before Election Day can receive a ballot by mail. Eligible voters may also register and vote in person through Election Day at a Voter Service and Polling Center.
  2. 2
    Review Official Election Information
Use the Colorado Secretary of State (sos.state.co.us) and your county clerk’s official election information for current deadlines, ballot drop box locations, and Voter Service and Polling Center hours.
  3. 3
    Choose How You Will Vote
Review your options: return your mail ballot by drop box or mail, vote early in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center, or vote in person on Election Day. Review ID requirements at GoVoteColorado.gov.
  4. 4
    Make a Voting Plan
Decide when and where you will vote and allow enough time for your ballot to be received. All ballots must be received by the county clerk by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day to be counted, except as otherwise provided for military and overseas voters.
  5. 5
    Vote
Colorado’s 2026 General Election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Colorado polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
  6. 6
    Take 5
After making your own plan, help five other eligible voters check their registration and make their own plan. Do not tell anyone who to vote for. Help them participate.
